MEET DR. SHAREE TAYLOR

In the words of Maya Angelou, “Life hasn’t always been a crystal stair,” and Dr. Taylor’s life is a testament to that truth. Having endured profound personal loss as a widow due to suicide, and faced a health scare that could have taken her life instantly, while also navigating the challenges of being marginalized because of her race and gender, she has experienced seasons of grief, pain, and isolation.

Yet through every hardship, she refused to allow adversity to define her destiny. Instead, those experiences became the foundation of her spiritual, emotional, and mental growth. Through faith in God, inner healing, and relentless perseverance, she discovered the strength to not only survive, but to walk boldly in her purpose.

Professionally, Dr. Taylor has shattered ceilings and paved the way for others. She made history as the first African American female Chief Operations Officer at many hospitals within the Southern Oregon Region and Midwest Region, from North Chicago to Denver. In these roles, she oversaw more than a billion dollars in operating budget and led more than 5,000 employees and volunteers while fostering strong clinical and administrative partnerships through strategic healthcare operations and data-driven leadership.

She has also championed diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives, helping create opportunities for diverse populations within the healthcare workforce.

With more than 20 years of healthcare management experience, Dr. Taylor’s career journey has taken her across the United States, including Florida, Utah, Ohio, Texas, Oregon, Illinois, Colorado, and Virginia. Her travels throughout the country and around the world have exposed her to diverse cultures, perspectives, and life experiences that have deepened her compassion and strengthened her calling to uplift others.
